Dear Mr/Mrs, one of your distributers in Bulgaria, put in their web page the following:...Soda Bicarbonate of Doves Farm is in compliance with purity criteria set by the European Commission Regulation â„– 231/2012 and does not contain aluminum based additives - including aluminum silicate. Samples of the aluminum in the baking soda to Doves Farm indicate quantities of <0.5 mg / kg. Is it true? And can we see any analytical certificate? Thank you in advance!

Just a brief note. I see you say here that baking soda can be used in place of baking powder, but might it not be best to mention that the substitute is not a direct one and that combination of baking soda with an acid ingredient is required? I mention this as I've read a few reviews where people say their recipes have failed because they have used baking soda instead of baking powder as a direct substitution... You have pointed out in most cases that baking soda and baking powder are not the same thing but might it not be good to make that clear here? Many thanks for lovely website and recipes

Thank you for the answers regarding soda question before. Tho i wanted to understand how this soda is made is it made from the chemical reaction or it is made from natural soda crystalls from minerals. I am looking for soda for drinking and cleansing purposes so i am looking for soda received through artificial processes. Thank u!

Dear Mr/Mrs,

A neighbour purchased this for me recently as I am in quarantine due to Covid 19. It is very nicely packed but IMPOSSIBLE TO OPEN! I tried numerous times to get the lid off without success. I was as though it was welded onto the container. After repeated attempts by both myself and my partner it was clear that this was not going to open without substantial force. I took a knife to it to try and prise open the lid without success. On repeated attempts the lid flew off scattering the bicarbonate of soda all over my work top, my clothes and my kitchen floor. I lost 3 quarters of the container. I put the lid back on the 1 quarter left and when I went to use it I couldn't get the lid off again. I WOULD NEVER BUY THIS PRODUCT AGAIN AS IT IS FAR TOO DIFFICULT TO OPEN. WHY WAS THE LID PUT ON SO TIGHTLY?
