Q: Is the palm oil in your cookies and oat bars responsibly sourced?

faq arrow icon to expand freee foods

Our palm oil in our cookies and oat bars only comes from RSPO (Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil) certified producers in Colombia, but we also use certified organic suppliers.  It is non-GM (genetically modified), fully traceable back to a single mill, and being produced in South America, is in no way implicated in the destruction of Orangutan habitats.  Indeed, being organic our producers are dedicated to enhancing their local environment, by setting aside at least 10% of their land for ‘wildlife corridors’, which is not only valuable for the natural fauna and flora in its own right, but helps control pests and diseases in the organic palm crop.  You can find out more information about the RSPO certification here and the organic standards here.

Q: Why do you use palm oil?

faq arrow icon to expand freee foods

We use palm fat because it is one of the few ‘vegetable oils’ that is naturally solid at room temperature.  Most plant based oil require hydrogenation to make them solid but this is not allowed in organic products.  Palm fat, butter and coconut fat are the only available options at this time.  Butter, whilst very good, is not suitable for milk allergy sufferers or vegans.  Coconut fat has a very strong flavour, making it unsuitable for many products.

Q: What is the level of Aluminium in your Bicarbonate of Soda and Baking Powder?

Doves Farm & FREEE

Q: What is the relationship between Doves Farm & FREEE

faq arrow icon to expand freee foods

Doves Farm and FREEE are both brands owned by the family business Doves Farm Foods Ltd. We used to have one website selling both brands side by side but due to customer requests, we decided to create separate websites.

Q. Do I use the same log in details as I do for dovesfarm.co.uk?

faq arrow icon to expand freee foods

Yes, but we strongly recommend you change your password to keep your account secure. You can easily do that here.

Q. Why are some Doves Farm branded products listed and not others?

faq arrow icon to expand freee foods

Some Doves Farm branded products, which are gluten free are listed on this site.

Q. I purchase both Doves Farm & FREEE products – can I combine orders from the two websites somehow and save on delivery costs?

faq arrow icon to expand freee foods

Most of our customers buy only either Doves Farm or our gluten free FREEE branded products and have asked us to make it easier to shop either brand, which is why we have split our websites. Unfortunately, it does mean it is not possible to combine orders into one shipment at one delivery cost anymore. There are some gluten free Doves Farm products, like Quick yeast, Vitamin C and Chocolate Chips still available to buy on freee-foods.co.uk alongside the FREEE range.

Q. Why have you created this new website with FREEE only products?

faq arrow icon to expand freee foods

Gluten free living is a lifestyle choice for some and a must for many who cannot tolerate gluten. We are on a mission to make gluten free living as simple (and delicious) as possible and that is why we have created this dedicated site focused solely on gluten free products, recipes and baking advice – and where you can be 100% sure everything you come across is suitable and safe for a gluten free diet.

Q. I want to shop your Doves Farm branded products, but I can’t find them on this site?

faq arrow icon to expand freee foods

This new FREEE website is dedicated to customers looking for gluten free products, recipes and baking advice. Therefore it only stocks FREEE branded products. There are a few exceptions like Quick Yeast, Vitamin C and Chocolate Chips, which are branded Doves Farm, but are gluten free.

The full range of Doves Farm branded products, regular non-gluten free recipes and baking advice can now be found only on dovesfarm.co.uk.
