How To Use Bicarbonate of Soda

Bicarbonate of Soda is also known as Bicarb and Baking Soda and it is used to raise or aerate many baked items. The active ingredient in FREEE Bicarbonate of Soda is bicarbonate of soda with the chemical code NaHCO3. It is naturally alkaline and combines with the acidic ingredients used in a recipe, together with oven heat, to generate bubbles and lift during baking.  If used in excess it can impart a metallic taste.
