Super easy to rustle up, you might want to grab one of these yummy, fruit and fibre energy balls for breakfast on the go or pack a few for your next hike or bike ride. They are delicious made with peanut, almond or cashew nut butter.

Equipment:

Ingredients:

150g dates, de-stoned
150g nut butter, smooth
50g FREEE Organic Fruit and Fibre Flakes

Method:

  1. Finely dice the dates into a saucepan.
  2. Add the nut butter and mash the two together with a fork.
  3. Put the pan over a gentle heat and stir until everything softens.
  4. Remove from the heat, add the cereal and stir to combine.
  5. Immediately spoon the mix into 10 or 12 piles onto a plate.
  6. Using your hands roll each pile into a ball.
  7. Chill for about 15 minutes for the energy balls to firm up.
  8. Store the energy balls in an airtight tin for up to a week.
