Gluten Free Bircher Oat Muesli

About this recipe:
The Swiss nutritionist, Dr Max Bircher-Benner, insisted on soaking oats overnight with specific added ingredients, giving his name to this creamy, fruity, nutty, classic breakfast food. Prepared the evening before eating, Bircher Benner Muesli is great for a quick breakfast or to add to a lunchbox. Once you have enjoyed Bircher Muesli, you might like to try Overnight Oats and Berries.
Equipment:
mixing bowl, lidded glass pot or plastic container
Ingredients:
2 tbsp FREEE Organic Porridge Oats
4 tbsp water
1 tbsp cream
1 tsp honey
1 tbsp grated apple
1 tbsp toasted chopped hazelnuts
1 tsp lemon, squeezed
Method:
- Put the oats into a mixing bowl, a lidded glass pot or a plastic container.
- Add the water, cream, honey, grated apple, hazelnuts and lemon juice.
- Stir until well combined.
- Cover and refrigerate overnight.
- In the morning stir, serve and enjoy.
